Narine's story

Narine lives with her husband and three children in Ajarkut village, in the Tavush region. She is a teacher working at the local village school.

Together with her husband, Narine also cultivates field crops. In addition, they have been raising animals for many years. Narine uses the milk for cheese production and sells the dairy products locally. Income from agribusiness is very important for Narine and her family; so they decided to ask this loan of USD 3,000 will be a huge support for the family, and enable them to purchase five oxen and enrich the livestock that they own.

As this is Narine's first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who didn’t have access to credit products in the past because they have no credit history.
