Baye Niasse Group's story

Baye Niasse Group is made up of six women who all live in the same neighborhood. They get together each time the need arises. They run very similar retail businesses.

Mrs. Houley, the woman raising her hand in the photograph, is the group's president. She has 20 years of experience. She's seeking this loan to buy and sell vegetables, tea, and sugar.

She's 59 years old, married, and the mother of a family. She helps her husband cover the daily expenses of the family. She starts her day at 9 a.m. and finishes it at 6 p.m.

In the future, she would like to strengthen her business and increase her income, thanks to the loans from the MFI. She also intends to put money away.
