A loan of $1,300 helped to buy fertilizers.

Samara's story

Samara is 22 years old, married, and a child of preschool age. As a main source of income for her family, Samara grows produce and raises livestock. Having launched her business in 2012 with 5,000 KGS, now Samara has five dairy cows and five sheep, as well as a land plot with a greenhouse. Her monthly income is 10,000 KGS. Samara is a member of the Chynara group, which is composed of three members. In order to develop her farm further, Samara has turned to the Bai Tushum microfinance institution to buy mineral fertilizers and greenhouse film as well as prepare the soil for the spring seasonal work. Samara plans to use the resulting income for an additional increase of livestock. She also intends to save up for buying a house to live in.
