Sareang Saroet's Group's story

Sareang, 24, lives with her two children in a rural village of the Thmor Koul district, Cambodia. She is a widowed mother. To feed the family, Sareang earns a living as farmers who have been farming rice for three years. To supplement the income, she has been selling grocery items as well. The current business earns her about 20,000 KHR per day to meet the family’s need.

This is the first microloan for Sareang with VisionFund. Now she is leading her group to ask for a loan. As the leader, she is going to use her portion to buy fertilizer for her farmland. She hopes to increase her crop yields so as to generate more income to improve her standard of living.
