A loan of $375 helped a member to buy more pineapple seeds for growing.

Yan's Group's story

A 55-year-old mother of four children, Yan resides in a rural village of the Battambang province’s Moung Russey district, Cambodia. To support her living, she has been growing pineapple in the village for 18 years while her husband works for others for a fee. Together, they can earn about KHR 45,000 per day from the current business and can save about KHR 25,000 each day for their future needs.

This is the fourth loan for Yan with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now, she is leading her group to ask for a loan. Yan, who is the leader, will use her portion to buy more pineapple seeds for growing. She hopes this loan will enable her to increase the income from her current business.
