A loan of $1,075 helped to pay for the labor costs of maintenance and buy fertilizer for his lime plantation.

Faustino's story

Faustino is 56 years old and he lives with his wife and children in the district of San Felipe, a warm area located in the Cajamarca Region, a mountain chain in the north of Peru. The population of San Felipe makes a living from agriculture, especially from growing fruit trees and rice, and from cattle raising and commerce.

Faustino grows and sells limes. He has approximately 2 acres of land planted with lime trees, which he harvests once a month. He sells the fruits in his farmhouse to wholesalers, who then sell them in other towns.

He is asking for a loan of 3000 nuevos soles to pay for the labor costs of maintenance and to buy fertilizer for his lime trees. With this, he hopes to generate higher income for his family.
