A loan of $550 helped to buy a greater volume of fruits.

Oscar's story

Oscar is 26 years old. He sells fruits and foods. He started his life as a merchant 12 years ago with his parents, who started out by selling foods and then later by selling fruits. This is the same business that Oscar operates today with his family, which is composed of his wife and his two-month old son. They depend completely on this business. His goal is to expand his business’s coverage, entering into other neighborhoods and towns nearby. He has applied for a Kiva loan, with which he will buy a greater volume of fruits so he can open a stand in a new area. With this Kiva loan, he will have the possibility of new income, which will make his investment successful.
