Thea's Group's story

Thea is a farmer who grows rice as her main source of income in the province of Kampong Cham. She is 37 years old and a widowed mother of two children. One is in school and one is still under school-age. She has been involved with the rice cropping business for 18 years and it has generated her about 36,100 KHR per day. This is the first microloan for Thea with Kiva's partner VisionFund and she is a leader. She and her co-borrower are applying for a new loan of 1,400,000 KHR each. Thea will use her potion of the loan to buy fertilizer and gasoline for her rice farming. She strongly hopes to upgrade her lifestyle so it's better than it was.
