A loan of $700 helped to buy agricultural inputs for her coffee crops.

Honoria's story

Honoria is an entrepreneurial woman with a lot of desire to progress. She is 57 years old, married and has 6 children who work, study and help their parents with the different activities in the field. Honoria learned the work of agriculture together with her father, who from an early age she helped with the different activities in the fields. She studied up to Grade 2 but could not finish her studies due to financial difficulties. But she is grateful to her parents for having supported her morally and financially whenever they could.

The crops she and her husband work are their own, thanks to the effort and sacrifice of many years and the good administration that allowed them to buy their own land that they work together. It is located 20 minutes from their house and they walk there daily.

Honoria dreams of seeing her children study for a better future, with more opportunity and better living conditions. Then they can integrate into society easily and find excellent opportunities to get ahead. As a producer she wants to improve and diversify her coffee crops avoiding putting all her money in one place. She wants to continue expanding their parcels of land and leave an good inheritance for her family. So she is now requesting a loan to improve her coffee crops and ensure that they are affected by infestations that damage the plant and the beans.
