A loan of $325 helped purchase assorted wholesale goods.

Delsi Eneyda's story

Ms. Delsi is a member of the “Juan Zaplana Belliza” microfinance institute, located on Psj. 14 de Julio Mz. A Lt. 9, in the district of Yarina Cocha of the Ucayali department. She is a 34-year-old married mother of 4 children—2 who are adults and 2 who are still her dependants. Her husband is an elementary school teacher. Delsi decided to invest the first 300.00 PEN loan that she received from Manuela Ramos in selling groceries.

She currently runs her general store from her home, which earns her profits, and she is thus able to repay her loan on time.

With this loan of 1,000.00 PEN, which will be repaid in 6 months, she will purchase 1 sack of rice, 1 sack of sugar, 5 cases of soft drinks, 1 crate of milk, among other goods.

Delsi states that Manuela Ramos really helps her family, and thanks to this, her financial stability has improved.
