A loan of $1,550 helped to buy a motorcycle to deliver take-out meals.

Hilda Del Socorro's story

Hilda is a fighter and a strong woman. A single mom, she has raised her three children with effort and dedication. She has spent her working life as an independent businesswoman. She started by selling meals from a cart and as she saved money little by little from her profits, she was able to get together enough capital to open a small restaurant which is located on the main route to the Atlantic coast. In the six months since it opened she has hired two employees and has been able to meet her household expenses.

Hilda will use the money from the loan she is requesting to buy a motorcycle so she can start a home delivery service in the surrounding neighborhoods. This will lead to increased sales and more profits. She states that her greatest desire is to strengthen her business and for it to be well-established and known in the community over time. This will lead to permanence and financial stability so she will be able to give her children a better education and enjoy better living conditions.
