Fatmata's story

Meet 40-year-old Fatmata from Waterloo2 Western rural area in Freetown. She is married with three children. One of her children is currently attending school. In 2003, she established her vegetables business. She began her business because she wanted to generate income to take care of her family. She works at the business seven days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is the transportation problem within her operation area. Fatmata requires a loan in order to purchase more vegetable and garden seeds to expand her business. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to educate her children and increase her business. In the future, Fatmata plans to expand her business to the higher level.
