Lan's story

Lan was born in 1968, and she has five children who are all in school. Her husband is a freelancer with an average monthly income of VND 4,000,000. Lan collects scrap metal and resells it, and she also raises chickens to earn more income. Each month, the total income of her family is about VND 8,000,000. Lan has participated in SEDA’s program since 2007. She has successfully repaid a loan amount of VND 7,630,000. In this new cycle, she would like to borrow VND 8,502,000 to buy poultry feed and chicks. Lan says that the money she earns from selling chickens has helped her to provide for her children’s education and improve the living standard for her family. Lan would also like to express her appreciation to every donor around the world who has contributed to this program.
