Toan Group's story

Toan is a young and dynamic 32-year-old businesswoman who owns a small transportation company with her husband. She has children who study in primary and secondary school. Her family income is about 8,000,000 VND. Her business challenge is a shortage of capital. She hopes her business will become sustainable so that she may provide for her children as well as create more jobs for the community. This is the first time Toan has participated in the SEDA program. She is requesting a loan of 5,014,000 VND to invest in her transportation company. There are 6 members in Toan’s group who are included in the following list: • Hiep is 40 years old. She has two children. She wants to borrow 12,426,000 VND to buy supplies for her grocery store. • Yen is the mother of three children and would like to borrow 5,014,000 VND to buy fruits to resell. • Chinh is 60 years old, and a farmer. She would love to borrow 11,118,000 VND to buy chicks and fodder. • Vien is 56 years old with two children. She wants to borrow 7,630,000 VND to buy more chicks and animal fodder. • Similarly, Oanh, a 55-year-old mother of two children wants to borrow 7,630,000 VND to raise more chickens.
