Kumba's story

Kombah is a 32-year-old woman who lives in the West Point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is married and has seven children ranging in age between 9 and 3 years old. They are in school and live at home. Kombah described herself as a hardworking woman.

For the past four years she has been running a market table where she sells locks, nails, etc in the local market. She sells six days a week from 7 AM to 6 PM, and she likes her business because of the way customers buy from her. She started this business with money given to her by her husband. She uses a shared taxi every time to get her goods to her business spot. Kombah is requesting a loan to purchase more locks, nails, etc., for her business. She plans to build a house for her children. She would like to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia.
