A loan of $1,500 helped to buy agricultural supplies to care for her second season of crops.

Edita's story

Edita is very happy. Thanks to her first loan with Kiva, in Alliance with the COMIXMUL cooperative, she was able to invest in her coffee crops by purchasing the supplies needed to apply to the crops. She bought formula for coffee crops, compost, leaf insecticides, and urea, among others that are needed and important to keep her crops healthy and with excellent foliage.

Edita states that she and her family did not know about said institution. The area where she lives is removed from the city. Thanks to the team that works at the institution, and through the promotion of their products, benefits, and other things in the area, she was able to affiliate with them. She was able to put aside her worries about getting her first loan, to get an interest rate that is very comfortable, flexible payments, and other features that make it unique as an institution that supports women.

Therefore, she is requesting her second loan in order to be able to continue investing in her coffee crops. During this new season she has a lot of goals and great hopes that her harvest will be better. These are to continue expanding her coffee crops, to build a basin to wash the grain once it is gathered, and metal sheeting for drying in the sun in order to get good earnings by selling them as golden grains.
