Alfreda's story

Alfreda is 29 years old and is single with two children who are three and ten years old. Her children live at home and attend school. She lives in Montserrado County, which has the largest free port and is the number-one commercial county in Liberia. For the past three years, Alfreda has been selling palm oil. She started her business with money given to her by her father and she learned her business from her friends. Alfreda’s favorite part of her business is that it gives her money and she is proud that it enables her to take care of her children.

Alfreda is requesting a loan to purchase more palm oil to enlarge her business. In the future, she plans to build a house for children.
