A loan of $3,425 helped a member to replenish her shop with new fashionable clothes from Nairobi.


Ashoki A Group's story

Linda, who is in her early thirties, is single and has got two kids, one of them, is in school. She has been managing her family living by running a shop selling woman clothes. Linda is in this enterprise for a period of six years now. She starts working from 08am to 05pm per working day and is able to make a good range of monthly profit.

This is her second loan request from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loan which she paid in full to buy her shop stocks from Nairobi. Linda normally obtains her business clothes from Nairobi where she spend like a week since her travel. Linda earned a profit which she used to pay for her family house rent, covered school fees and food expenses. She will use this loan to replenish her shop with new fashionable clothes from Nairobi. Linda dreams that one day she will be able to own a house and managing well her business.

She will share this loan with her loan group" Ashoki A" which totals four members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
