Moisés is 22 years old and is in the fourth year of his computer science program at the university, thanks to the efforts of his father and his siblings, who support him to reach his goal. His mother passed away four years ago. He now lives alone in his home, as his siblings have all married and have their own families. His father works to support him in getting ahead. On his days off, he works as a mason's assistant or as a day laborer on various jobs, which allow him to earn an income since he attends school from Monday to Thursday.

He is requesting a loan to purchase a computer, valued at $700, and the rest will be used to pay his college tuition. This way, he will have his own equipment to do the homework that he is assigned at school. One of his biggest dreams is to complete his studies and to work to improve his conditions.

More information about this loan

This loan is part of a project to help young men and women in El Salvador (under age 26) launch their own businesses. The field partner is reducing the guarantee for these individuals, who normally would not have access to loans due to their lack of experience. Unemployment for young people is high in El Salvador, a fact that motivates many of them to leave the country instead of searching for work. Aside from access to financing, clients will also be grouped together according to their business types to receive training from CrediCampo's social development unit, and to share advice and support with one another.
