A loan of $4,575 helped to finance his studies in metal-working.

Lincol's story

Lincol was born in the Peruvian jungle, but moved to Lima with his father, who is a taxi driver, to attend school. His mother, a hairstylist, and his younger siblings continue to live in Chanchamayo. At this time, he is going through a difficult financial situation, and so he will not be able to continue to study without financial support from the Kiva lenders.

Lincol will be the first in his family to get an advanced degree, and they are proud of him. His dream is to complete his education and launch his own mechanics business in Chanchamayo, so that he can help his family financially and become a role model for his siblings to follow. In addition, he would like to have the opportunity to work abroad to gain experience and gain competence.

Lincol wants to thank the Kiva lenders for this support, and to tell them that he believes that support like this can change the lives of many young people who are in the same situation as him. He strongly believes that the good deeds that one does for others come back to oneself.
