A loan helped a member to buy fertilizer and insecticide for her farmland.

Long's Group's story

Long is a 59-year-old mother of nine children. She lives in the Battambang province where she plants rice for her main source of income. She has been involved in this business for 12 years. She has been with VisionFund (Kiva’s partner) for six past microloans, which were fully repaid. The past loans have enabled her to provide her family with sufficient food.

This is her seventh microloan with VisionFund. She is applying for a loan of 1,400,000 KHR and two of her co-borrowers are requesting loans of 1,000,000 KHR each. As the leader, she will use her portion of the loan to buy fertilizer and insecticide for her farmland and to pay plowing fees.

She hopes to improve her family's standard of living.
