A loan of $625 helped to process more mobile phone credit sales on the weekends.

Amalia's story

Amalia lives in North of Bogor, about two hours from Jakarta. Amalia manages a small shop selling groceries and mobile phone airtime credit. Amalia is married and lives with five persons in the family home.

Amalia joined Ruma one month ago because she was interested in selling mobile phone airtime credits. With assistance and support from Ruma’s staff, Amalia sees improvements in her shop. For the last month, she has earned an average of $2 to $3 per day in mobile phone airtime credit sales.

She hopes to get a Kiva loan as working capital to process more transactions on the weekends. Her goal for her business is to expand in the future.
