Anna's story

Anna lives in Tsater villager in Lori region. She lives alone as her only son have to leave to go abroad for work. Anna runs a farm. She breeds cattle and cultivates land. The gathered agricultural products (milk, meat, cheese) Anna sells to local wholesalers and gathers income for her living. Anna has now applied for this loan of USD 2000 to be able to enlarge her farm. She plans to purchase 2 calves, 4 piglets, forage for the livestock and potato seeds for cultivation. She hopes that lenders will support her farm and help her to enlarge it further. This is Anna's second loan. She has taken a loan from local financial institutions before, but because of very difficult financial conditions, wasn't able to pay it back on time. Now, by ensuring that her agribusiness is successful and she is able to provide monthly payments for this loan, Anna has been approved for this loan. She has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The second chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.
