A loan of $1,050 helped to buy agricultural materials to help her potato crops.

Abelina's story

Abelina is a woman who is a fighter. She is a happy 38 year old with one grade of primary education and the mother of one child. Her household companion is a farmer like she is. They grow vegetables (potatoes). This is the only source of income for their family to cover the household expenses. Once the product is harvested it is sold in the local market, thanks to her mother in law's help and some intermediaries that go to the area. Abelina's parents were the ones who taught her a long time ago about this activity. They also worked in this area to earn income to support the family. The land that she and her household companion work is their own, and for that the thank GOD.

Right now, she is asking for help to buy fertilizer and other materials to be able to grow and also expand her crops. Her goal is to plant lettuce so she can diversify and not depend on one product. She wants to grow with her crops and over time open a farming and livestock business to sell fertilizers and seeds to help with the family income and for its benefit.
