Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Pompeyo's story

Pompeyo is a client of Kubo Financiero, and this is his story:
Pompeyo is 61 years old, is married, and has a daughter. He previously worked in a boiler business as a stoker. Later he became self-employed, and he now has a family business selling clothing and shoes. He describes himself as a proactive, approachable, disciplined, responsible and committed person in his business, and tries every day to improve himself both as a person and as a worker. Pompeyo is requesting a loan in order to support his family, especially his daughter. He will use the loan to buy merchandise to provide new products for his business and generate more sales, so that he can earn more. He says that he will benefit from having more products and models of clothing and shoes. Pompeyo says that his objectives are to improve his performance, to grow, and to acquire new knowledge and experience in his work. He says: "With regard to my business I want to expand more and to be able to buy more merchandise so as to obtain more sales and business".
