A loan of $1,300 helped to buy clothing, insecticides and fertilizers.

Francisca Jaqueline's story

The communal bank "Santa Rosa Del Blanco" meets every 15 days in the city of Charapoto. This is a place known for its traditional culture and also for being minutes away from two of the best beaches in the province: San Jacinto and San Clemente.

This is where Francisca, 40, lives. She is married and has 2 children aged 10 and 5 years who attend school. Her husband is a farmer.

Francisca is a woman who enjoys working so that she can help her husband and get ahead. She is taking this loan for herself and for her husband. While Francisca sells clothing through a catalog, her husband works cultivating corn and rice. He farms all seasons of the year, as his land lends itself to being able to irrigate crops during all seasons. This is because these are lowlands that are close to the river that crosses the city. This is why he always has a good harvest that enables him to get ahead and also help the people who work with him.

This loan will be used to buy clothing, as well as the insecticides and fertilizers that her husband needs for his crops. Francisca has been with her communal bank for 2 years, and she likes it because of the benefits she receives from the institution. Her dream is to give the best to her children.
