Tiessiri Group's story

The TIESSIRI group is comprised of married women, who on average are 41 years old and have 3 children. They all live in traditional families in the village of Dibida, a commune of Guégnéka, in the prefecture of Dioïla, in the region of Koulikoro (second administrative region of the Republic of Mali). They met each other through family, neighbors, and friends. They sell spices, charcoal, cosmetic products, soap, beverages, and potatoes. The women of the TIESSIRI group are on their second group loan. In the goal of satisfying the enormous demand of their customers, they seek the help of SORO YIRIWASO. The funds will be used to buy the aforementioned items. The client, KADIATOU, seated in the middle, is illiterate, and she currently sells potatoes. She plans to buy 8 sacks of potatoes at wholesale in Konobougou. She sells them from home and sometimes door-to-door for cash or credit at the daily market in Fana to a mixed clientele. She plans to earn a monthly profit of 45,000 FCFA, which will be reinvested into her business.
