A loan of $850 helped to buy merchandise for sale in his shop.

Brehima's story

Bréhima was born in April 1974, in Sikasso. He is married, has four children and lives with his family in Ouayerma II, a busy area of Sikasso (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali).

He has been buying and selling products in his shop (sugar, sweets, tea, oil, milk, etc) for three years. He buys his stock at the main market in Sikasso.

This will be Bréhima's first individual loan with the field partner, Soro Yiriwaso. He will use the loan to buy two 50kg sacks of sugar, ten boxes of tea, twenty boxes of a dozen packets of sweets, two drums of oil, ten boxes of powdered milk and various other items for his shop. He hopes this will allow him to satisfy the ever-increasing demands of his customers. Bréhima's shop is in the Ouayerma I district and he sells to men and women, on a cash or credit basis.

Bréhima expects to earn a monthly average of 55,000 francs CFA, which will enable him to repay his loan and interest, and reinvest in his business.
