Isatu's story

Meet Isatu. She is in her late twenties and is from Waterloo Western rural in Freetown in Sierra Leone. She is married with 3 children. She started her provision business just after she left school. She began her business because she wants to create income to educate her children. She works at the business from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm, 6 days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is that sometimes purchasing power is very slow.

Isatu requires a loan in order to purchase more provisions such as milk, sugar and mayonnaise to expand her business. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to change her status of living and increase her business. In the future, Isatu plans to expand her business more than ever.
