A loan of $625 helped to start construction on her house.

Martha Lidia's story

Ms. Marta Lidia is single with two boys ages 11 and 6-years old. Both are studying in elementary school while she works from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday. With 19-years of service as a health worker, she requests a loan to start on the construction of her house. She would like to build an 8-square metered house in Alcaldia de Juigalpa with the INVUR (Institute of Urban and Rural Housing). Where Ms. Lidia currently resides she must pay MINSA (Ministry of Health) which operates FETASALUD (Federation of Health Workers) and the conditions there provide no privacy for her growing children. She would like to put a modest roof over their heads, with the hope that things will get better. She feels that doors have opened with AFODENIC and will pay her loan back in a timely manner as she is a very responsible person with a high sense of honor to do what is morally correct to pay her debt.
