Yesenia Colombia's story

The Communal Bank Jardin De La Artesania (Garden of the Crafts) meets every fifteen days in Montecristi Canton, known for its rich pre-colonial culture and crafts, which are recognized nationally and internationally; it is the place of the famous Panama hats. Yesenia lives here. She is 41 years old, a single mother and has three children aged 21, 18 and 13; the two youngest go to school.
Yesenia learned cutting and tailoring years ago, and because she is a very hard working woman who likes to be self-sufficient, she opened a small sewing workshop in her house. She makes sports clothing for educational institutions in the city and all sorts of clothes for individual customers who come to her workshop. Her customers know her for seriousness and her punctuality in delivering her orders, which is why her clientele increases every day.
This loan is to buy threads, fabrics, fasteners and other sewing materials that she needs to make her garments. She has been in the Communal Bank for seven cycles and she likes it because the loans are a great help. Her dream is that her children finish their studies and become professionals.
