Adjo's story

Adjo P. was born May 1, 1958 in Atakpame the largest town in Togo’s plateau region. She is married and the mother of six children. By way of employment, Adjo makes and sells fruit juice in the market in Agoe. She purchases lemons, pineapple, and oranges in Kpalime at a lower price than available in Lome. Since she went into business in 1993, she has always made a profit, but of late with the high cost of living she has not the means to buy ingredients to continue her business. This loan she is requesting, her first, would permit her to purchase five sacks of granulated sugar and twenty sacks of ginger.
