A loan of $725 helped to buy fabrics for making sports jerseys.

Juan's story

Juan is 42 years old, married to Felicitas, and has three children who are his primary motivation. They live together in a house made of solid materials. Juan sells sportswear that he produces. He has been in this line of work for more than 10 years and his business is his main source of income.

Juan ended up doing this type of work because he started out only stamping names and other distinctive markings on sports gear, such as designs and logos. Thanks to his good work, he was able to build up a good clientele, which allowed him to save up enough capital to start a sewing business in which he produces soccer jerseys, shorts, and other garments. With the help of his wife who has a solid knowledge about sewing, Juan is able to produce different types of sportswear. He currently has a stable business that offers his distinguished clientele a variety of products, including stitched garments, stamped T-shirts, sports pennants, and a many other items.

This is the first loan that he is requesting from Kiva. Juan hopes to have this support so that he can invest. He wants this opportunity to request a loan of 2,000 PEN so that he can acquire fabrics in order to fulfill a repeat order of manufactured soccer jerseys.
