A loan of $625 helped to process more mobile phone credit sales on the weekends.

Pitriyanih's story

Pitriyanih lives north of Bogor, a semi-urban area about two hours from Jakarta. Pitriyanih is married and lives with more than six persons in the family home.

Pitriyanih began working with Ruma one year ago because she was interested in the income from selling mobile airtime. She feels really excited to expand her business by selling mobile phone airtime credits and servicing bill payments. For the last three months, she has around $46 – 47 per day in sales on average (just mobile phone airtime credit sales). As the business continues to run, she hopes to get a Kiva loan as working capital in order to do more transactions on weekends.
