Fatmata's story

Meet 42-year-old Fatmata from Masuba, Makeni Northern area in Sierra Leone. She is married with 3 children. In 2002, Fatmata established her tailoring material business. She began her business because she wants to generate income to support the home. She works at the business for 10 hours per day, six days per week. She says that the main challenge to her business is price inflation and insufficient capital to expand her business.

Fatmata requires a loan in order to purchase more tailoring items like needles, thread and clothing material for resale. She hopes that the extra income from this loan will allow her to pay her children's school fees and increase her business. In the future Fatmata plans to expand her business to a higher level. She thanks you for your support.
