Susam is 30 years old and has a child. She lives in a small village in Sonepur district in Odisha, India with her husband and her child. A few years ago, she started a grocery shop where she sells rice, lentils, potatoes, wheat flour, onions, spices, soap etc. She purchases these items in the town with the help of her husband. She sells a variety of products, depending on the demand in the village.

She is requesting a loan to buy more supplies such as detergents, biscuits, candles, electric bulbs, wafer, toilet cleaner etc. With this investment, she will expand her business so that she can generate more income and improve the quality of life for herself and her family. She is requesting the loan with a group of 10 members who all are women who live in the same community. They named their group Maa Mahalaxmi Shg.
