Susanna lives in Aygehovit village in the Tavush region of Armenia. She lives there with her big family of 7: including her husband, parents-in-law, grandmother-in-law and two little kids (ages 3 and 1 year old). This hardworking family is engaged in agriculture. They keep livestock (pigs, piglets and chickens), cultivate corn, potatoes, and grow fruit trees (peach, plum, fig, nut, apple and pear trees). Susanna's husband also trades with coal in nearby communities. Her father-in-law rents a small space where he trades with different types of household goods.
Susanna has applied for a loan of 3,000 USD to provide financial support for her farm. As the gathered harvest is big, it is very difficult for the family to organize all of the cultivation and gathering processes without agro machinery. The rental cost of agro machinery is too high for the family, therefore this loan will be a huge support for them and they will be able to purchase agro machinery for harvest gathering and forage for the livestock.
