Rita lives in Ani Kayaran village with her husband and daughter. Her husband works at a local private company.

Rita herself has been running a farm. It is small and includes only 4 cows and 2 calves. Rita uses the milk in cheese production and sells it in nearby open markets. Income from agriculture is very important for Rita's family and she would greatly like to expand it. Rita owns a plot of land, but because of difficult financial conditions she isn't able to start the cultivation process. Therefore, she asks for this loan of USD 1,000 to be able to purchase seeds, fertilizer and forage for feeding the livestock. The loan will be a huge support for Rita's farming business and she hopes for lenders' support.

As this is Rita's first loan, it has been approved within the framework of the new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF. The first-chance loan program provides loans to people who do not have access to credit products in the past because they have no credit history.
