A loan of $500 helped buy a grill and other supplies to begin making pupusas out of a store in her home.

Diana Beatríz's story

Diana is 20 years old. She was in school through the ninth grade. She has a husband she married two years ago who works in public security, and they are the parents of a 15-month-old girl.

Diana is primarily works at housework and also on selling pupusas (a traditional kind of stuffed pastry), which she began when her neighbors requested it of her. At the moment, she makes them on a loaned grill and is learning how sell them on her own, a necessity both for her learning and sales since there's no one else in the canton who sells pupusas.

The loan that she is seeking from CREDICAMPO will be used to buy a grill of her own and other supplies that she needs to make pupusas and open a small store in her home. There, there's a group of people who intend to buy food from her if she had a pupusa shop, which will help her earn money and support her husband's income.

Her dream is to open a pupusa stand and a well stocked store in the area, since there aren't any nearby stores and people have to go shopping in the neighboring village or in the city.
