A loan of $625 helped to buy a new sewing machine to expand her sewing business.

Sadafmohi's story

Sadafmohi lives in the city of Kulyab. She is a young, unmarried, 23-year-old woman. Her family is made up of six people: her father, her mother, her two brothers, her sisters and herself. Her father is retired and her mother is a homemaker. Her eldest brother works in Russia. Her younger brother and sister are in school.

After graduating from school, Sadafmohi began earning a living. She learned the seamstress profession and has been sewing for about five years. Sadafmohi primarily sews pillows, kurpachas (a narrow quilted blanket for sitting on) and kurpas (a narrow throw). Her mother and sister also help with this business. Sarafmohi is requesting a loan to buy a new sewing machine as her own sewing machine is outdated and causes her discomfort while she works. Thanks to the loan, she will be able to expand her business.
