Lusik is from Hoktember village in the Armavir region, where she lives with her son. Lusik is an accountant by profession but currently is involved in agriculture. Lusik's son is a taxi driver who works day and night to be able to sustain his family.

Lusik cultivates some fruit trees and vegetables and sells the harvest at local markets. This activity is very important, for it helps gather enough income for her family's basic costs. Lusik has now applied for this loan to be able to make some investments to her land cultivation business. She would like to purchase seeds, fertilizer and fuel for land cultivation. The loan will be a huge help for her and Lusik hopes for lenders' goodwill.

Lusik has already applied for a loan to local financial institutions before but, because of very difficult financial conditions, wasn't able to pay it back on time. Now, she is sure that she will be able to cover monthly payments on time and has now been approved for a loan within the framework of a new joint initiative between Kiva and SEF international. The second chance loan program provides loans to people who have a bad credit history and have no access to credit products.
