A loan of $5,000 helped a member to purchase 24 pieces of luggage and backpacks.

Union Fait La Force Group's story

This client, Katvasi, is a merchant with seven years of experience. He is 30 years old, unmarried, and the president of a business collective called "Union fait la force" [strength in unity]. He is a vendor of a variety of goods. He sets up his merchandise in a store in town.

He is requesting a loan from the microfinance institution Hekima to increase his business by purchasing 24 pieces of luggage and backpacks. He had started his business with funds from his parents. In his work, he and his mother assist one another. For the future, he would like to increase his credit and to provide education and food for his children.

He thanks Hekima for its support of unbanked entrepreneurs by granting them microloans during this time of post-conflict in the country's east.
