Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 46-year-old Shaka from Waterloo eastern area in Freetown. He is married with 4 children between the ages of 9 and 21 years old. Four of his children are attending school. He began his business because he wants to be self-employed and it is profitable to do business.

Shaka runs a general stock business. He sells soft drinks, pure water, butter, soap and cigarettes. He has been running this business for the past 4 years. He works at the business 12 hours per day and 6 days per week. Shaka says that the main challenge to his business is price inflation.
