A loan of $3,550 helped a member to buy cattle.

Refuge De Dumas 1 & 2 Group's story

Cantave is the group coordinator for the 'Refuge de Dumas 1 & 2' Group. He is married, has five children and lives in the town of Dumas in Haiti, where electricity is rare and water is very scarce.

Cantave left school eight years ago and has been running his business ever since. He will use his loan to buy cattle, and hopes this will enable him to expand his business. The other members of the group will use their loans to support sales businesses such as charcoal, rice and fish.

Cantave says that his biggest challenge is a lack of reliable customers. His dream is to expand his business and buy a truck to transport his livestock.

In this group: Cantave, Manilia, Annamarie, Foufoune, Julmina, Nicodem, Agathie, Rose, Mariemonise, Sejour
