Marc D Group

A loan of $6,500 helped a member to purchase knitwear, baby blankets, baby shoes, linens, diapers, bibs, etc.

Marc D Group's story

The client Bashizi is a valiant shopkeeper and member of the business collective "Marc D," a senior entrepreneur, 42 years old, married and the mother of six children who are all in school. The client is a saleswoman of various baby clothes (layette) and member of a store. She lays out her merchandise in a house along the principal route in her town. She started her business with funds received, like from the IMF Hekima loan. Her spouse is a bank agent. It has been several years that she has run this business. This new loan will serve to buy knitwear, baby blankets, baby shoes, linens, diapers, bibs, etc. In this way, she wishes to increase her capital and keep her children in school, clothed and fed. To finish, she strongly appreciates Hekima for making non-bankable women entrepreneurs independent, especially during this critical post-conflict moment to the east of the country.
