Sihle's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 48 year old Sihle from Bulawayo. She is single with two children and one of them is attending school. Sihle runs a retail business selling shoes, clothes and blankets. She also knits and sews school uniforms. The business has been in operation for 23 years. She says the main challenge she faces is high import duty fees. Sihle has requested a loan of $1,500.00 to buy sewing material, shoes and clothes. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve her family's general welfare. In the future, Sihle plans to open a fashion boutique in town.
