A loan of $1,425 helped a member to buy accessories for making flour bags.

Shabana's Group's story

Shabana is a 46-year-old active borrower from BRAC Pakistan. She lives in Rawalpindi, Pakistan with her family and has seven children. Her husband is a flour bag maker by profession. He has been in this business for the past 26 years. He is the only one responsible for meeting the needs of the family and manages the entire household. Shabana's husband wants to buy different types of accessories like needles and rolls of cord for his business, but due to insufficient financial means he is not in a suitable condition to buy all of these things. Therefore, Shabana has applied for a Kiva loan from BRAC Pakistan so that she can help her husband to buy above the items to fulfill his business needs. Shabana is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan for this financial assistance.
