Monica's story

Monica owns a butcher in Temeke market in Dar es Salaam, which is different from other butcher shops. She buys cows from wholesalers, slaughters them, sells some of the meat to other butcher shops, and sells the remainder herself. She has been in this business for six years now.

She want to buy more animals to enjoy economies of scale. Previously she used to buy and slaughter four to five animals at a time. She wants to increase the number the number of animals up to ten. She is in need of USD1200 to subsidize her working capital.
