A loan of $2,500 helped a member to purchase 3 piglets and feed.

Bawi Lestari 2 Group's story

After six months of the loan period, Ni Nyoman succesfully sold her 3 pigs with a satisfactory profit. The profit is less then before because the price of raising pigs fell over the last 6 months. But, Ni Nyoman still can manage her profit to support her family needs.

Most of the members of the Bawi Lestari 2 group earn a satisfactory profit and they decided to continue their loan until they can have their own capital.
From the loan of 3.500.000 IDR, Ni Nyoman will use it to purchase 3 piglets and the rest of the loan to buy feed. She keeps the piglets for 5 months and then sells them. Because it’s nearly holiday season, the price for pigs is increasing. But, she hope the price for feed does not increase.

Ni Nyoman and the members of the Bawi Lestari 2 feel the benefits of having this loan. They can purchase piglets and feed and receive training.

They hope they can have capital of their own and they don’t need to borrow a loan again.
