Kenja's story

Kenja T. is 44 years old. She is a widow and the mother of three children. After the death of her husband, Kenja had to find ways to provide for herself and her three children. For three years she has had a business baking and selling the national bread, “lepeshka”. It has now become the family business as the children of Kenja are grown-up and they are helping their mother.

Kenja is a cheerful, hard-working woman despite the difficulties she faces. She has already received and repaid loans from IMON which have helped create stability for her business. Today Kenja is requesting a loan of 2200 Somoni (650 USD) with the term of 12 months. She is planning to purchase flour and coal required for baking the national bread, “lepeshka”. This purchase will enable her to increase her sales, to earn more so she can provide her children with a good education. With your help this will be possible.
